Development SNES CD Controller on eBay
Ah the memories I had back when Nintendo Power first showed off the SNES CD expansion. What fun I would have had playing games like The 7th Guest and, if Nintendo had been more open to crappy game, NIGHT TRAP!!! Oh how happy I am that that never happened. However, we do get to look at and potentially own a little bit of history with this SNES CD Controller. The eBay auction ends on January 3rd, with this hunk of plastic is going for… (tabs over to see the price…) !!!! $2999.99
Well, at least I can look at a JPEG of it, and in the end, isn’t that all that really counts?

Will 2008 Be The End Of The RIAA?
In an article posted on WinExtra.com, Steven Hodson (a self-proclaimed cranky old fart wandering the internet causing mayhem as he goes) asks the questions that are on everyones mind. Will 2008 be the end of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)?
As more music artists turn away from the old models of their media; Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” sold for a user-selectable price, Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails going independent and releasing their music nearly open-sourced, and purely independent artists like Jonathan Coulton doing their thing and having fun and fame along the way, one does wonder what the RIAA’s usefulness is anymore.

Podcast RSS Feed Fixed for the time being
I could go into the technical mumbo jumbo whoziwhatzits about the podcast generation script that I am using to create The Geek Media’s podcast RSS feed, but that would be long and boring so I will just say this, it is fixed for now, it may break again in the future over nothing more than an non-breaking space that iTunes doesn’t like, and I will fix it again
And on a side note, congrats to me for the awesome run-on sentence.
Machinima Retrospective - The Nehahra Project
Back in the dark ages of the 1990s (96 to be exact), the Texas based software development company ID Software released Quake. Unlike ID’s previous games; Wolfenstein 3D and Doom which used a pseudo-3D world based on a 2D map design, Quake featured a full 3-dimensional world allowing designers to explore new ground in the area of level creation. Maps could contain bridges that could be walked on and under, tunnel systems, underwater structures and more. In addition to this, Quake also had many hooks in the watered down yet quite pliable QuakeC programming language, allowing even more modifications to the base game than most before it.
