Yahoo Banner Ads Infecting Visitors With Malware
From CyberInsecure.com
Some of the ads pitch women’s deodorant, but behind the scenes, they
contact servers that have been used by previous rogue ads targeting
high-traffic websites. Typically, the ads produce a pop up that looks
strikingly similar to official Windows dialog pop-ups that urge the end
user to download software to fix problems. Expedia, Rhapsody, MySpace,
Excite, Blick, and CNN.com have all served up similar malicious ads in
the past.

IGN reviews Grand Theft Audio 4
From IGN.com,
Criminals are an ugly, cowardly lot more worthy of pity and disdain than admiration. This is what you’ll learn playing through the single-player campaign in Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV. The series cheered (and criticized) for glorifying violence has taken an unexpected turn: it’s gone legit. Oh sure, you’ll still blow up cop cars, run down innocent civilians, bang hookers, assist drug dealers and lowlifes and do many, many other bad deeds, but at a cost to main character Niko Bellic’s very soul.

Blizzard’s Updates to Season 4 Arenas - Rob’s Opinion
A Blizzard poster on the World of Warcraft EU forums posted the following information regarding Season 4 of the Arenas.
“While Season 3 is still going strong, we wanted to announce ahead of time the rating requirements that will be present for arena items once Season 4 begins. We also wanted to give everyone a heads up to some changes that will be in an upcoming patch, altering how points are gained and players are matched in the arena system. The patch with these changes is scheduled to release before the start of Season 4.
First though, the rating requirement changes:

Quest 2 Change RL
Gamers that are tired of PVE, game speak for “Player Versus Environment”, can now have their favorite game characters join the quest to “save the environment”. The Science and Environmental Health Network has joined with SmartMeme.com, QuantumShift.tv, and other key socially conscious partners to launch the “Quest 2 Change Real Life” Online International Machinima Festival ( http://www.Quest2ChangeRL.com )
Machinima is the hottest new media phenomenon in online virtual worlds. In machinima, video and filmmakers use the virtual worlds of video games (like SecondLife.com or World of Warcraft) as the setting for their narrative short movies. The New York Times recently described machinima as “what you get when gamers stop blasting aliens for a second and start messing with the narrative.” Video games already bring in more revenue than Hollywood films, and online games are attracting tens of millions of players.
The goal of the Quest 2 Change RL contest is for video and filmmakers to create under five-minute machinima videos that will address the ecological crisis, like the climate crisis, extinction and biodiversity loss, and environmental justice. Videomakers are encouraged to incorporate solutions, like the “guardianship of future generations” and the “precautionary principle”, in their submitted videos. This is the first-ever social issue-themed international online machinima contest to encourage action to protect Real Life (known in online speak as RL).
Non-videomakers can join in on the Quest as well, and enter the contest as a “shifter” to earn points, unlock puzzles and bonus videos, and win prizes. Video submissions open May 1, 2008 and stays open through September 22, 2008. Major prizes will be announced. You can join the quest now at Quest2ChangeRL.com
