Blank Button and Installer.app Icon for Digg (Alternate) Theme for iPhone/iPod Touch

A recent story on Digg has downloads available for a Digg.com theme for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, for those who hacked theirs. I quickly made a blank icon in Photoshop using the Theme’s icons as a base to work with. Feel free to use this to make alternate icons for whatever apps you install.

Simply drag and drop the above image to your desktop. It is a PNG file with transparency.

And while it is not the best icon in the world, here is my alternate Installer.app icon, using the blank template + the REAL Installer.app icon from MacOS X.  Feel free to use this one as well (again, just drag-and-drop to your desktop).

In order to install custom icons for applications on the iPhone/iPod Touch, you need to login to it via AFP, find the application on the device, “View Package Contents”, replace the “icon.png” that you find, and then restart the device for the icon change to take effect.  I could go into more details, but where’s the fun in that :D
