The Conduit, the forthcoming Wii game from High Voltage Software, is going to have some substantial star power put into it. High Voltage Software has just annoucned that Mark A. Sheppard, William Sheppard and Kevin Sorbo have signed on as voice actors for the first-person shooter (FPS). So a father-son team (William and Mark A. Sheppard) will face off against Hercules (Sorbo).
All three men have substantial acting credits behind them, and a pretty large fanbase as well. Mark A. Sheppard is best known for his television appearances in shows like Medium, 24, CSI, The X-File, The Practice, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Star Trek Voyager and Monk. His father, William Sheppard, has done plays with the Royal Shakespeare Company, done television series (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Max Headroom, Babylon 5, SeaQuest DSV, Macgyver and Gargoyles), appeared in movies (Transformers, The Prestige, Gettysburg and Star Trek VI) and done voice overs for video games (Medal of Honor, Metal Gear Solid 2, Escape from Monkey Island and Star Wars: Force Commander). Kevin Sorbo is best known, of course, for his portrayal of Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and has also appeared in Andromeda, Meet the Spartans, Kull the Conqueror and An American Carol.
It looks like High Voltage Games has assembled a more than adequate cast for the game. Mark A. Sheppard will voice the hero, Mr. Ford, his father will voice John Adams and Sorbo will voice the villain Prometheus.
