Nintendo Announced “Nintendo DSi”

DS For The Download Generation

DS For The Download Generation

Nintendo has announced the DSi, the next rev of the Nintendo DS.  Sporting dual 0.3 MegaPixel cameras (one one the front and one on the back), and SD memory card slot (digital downloads anyone?), 17% larger screens, enhanced audio and MP3 playback.  The device is also thinner than the current, slim DS due to no longer having the GameBoy Advance slot.

The DSi will also include a built in browser for the DSi-Store with downloadable prices ranging from free, 200, 500 and 800 points.  New DSi owners will automatically get 1000 points to spend at the shop before Match 2010.

Release in the US is expected for sometime early 2009.
